We headed to Quebec City in winter to check out the legendary Carnaval du Winter that happens every year, and it was so great to see the entire town getting outside and having fun despite the cold weather.
We got to see Bonhomme, the festival’s mascot, watched a parade and even slid down a crazy toboggan right in the city.
While we were there we of course had to visit the Hotel de Glace, also known as the Ice Hotel. This accommodation is built entirely out of snow and ice, and every single year they build a new one from scratch. So cool to be able to see this architectural marvel before it melts.
And list of the best things to do in Quebec City in winter is complete without a few hours chilling out in the Strom Nordique Spa, the most expensive spa ever built in North America at $19 million.
We’re so glad we made the trip out to Quebec City at this time of year.
