Where should you go if you want the feel of an European city but don’t want to leave North America? Quebec City, Canada! It’s the capital of the French-speaking province of Quebec, and the heart of French Canada, so it’s got a culture unlike anywhere else in Canada or the USA. Plus, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a stone wall surrounding Old Town Quebec City.
In this video, I’ll tell you how to get there and where to stay, and talk about some of the amazing things to see and do while you are there. I talk about the old city, the city walls, some of the highlights within the walls (Chateau Frontenac, Chateau St. Louis, Cathedral-Basiliaca of Notre Dame de Quebec) and outside them (Place-Royale, Notre-Dame-Des-Victoires, Petit Champlain), some of the military tourist sites in the city (Citadelle of Quebec, Plains of Abraham, Joan of Arc Garden), and much more.
